Search: fashion's night out
Unless you possess the speediest of clicking fingers and internet connections, there’s a good chance you’ll be left with nothing from the Isabel Marant for H&M collection. But that’s okay, because there’s a different set of Euro-chic shirts and outerwear we’re dying to get bedecked in: Everything Greta Gerwig is wearing in this shoot for So It Goes magazine.
Halloween costumes and chic style are not synonymous, which presents It girls with a bit of fashion conundrum come October. Still, they always manage to deliver.
If you thought yesterday was Thursday or Drake’s birthday, you’d be correct. But it was also Giorgio Armani Day.
Ever since her gorgeous fall campaign for the French fashion house, we decided that Michelle Williams and Louis Vuitton were a lethal combination. Last night, the actress backed our theory proving that her alabaster skin is all the more striking against an LBD at the Whitney Museum of American Art Gala & Studio Party.
A Michael Kors fête for a good cause always means one thing — an outpouring of support from a slew of Hollywood’s biggest stars and fashion’s most notorious supermodels.
New York, we love you, but you can’t deny that few cities inspire envy quite like Paris. Parisian women look better than you do in no makeup and men’s nightgowns, and Parisian selfies make you look über-chic rather than kind of an asshole. It’s also the city where babies are showered with miniature designer outfits and handwritten notes from the world’s coolest designers.
What better time than New York Fashion Week to premiere a film about one of fashion’s most recognizable names?
Turning 21 in the U.K. may not carry the same weight as it does here in the States (case in point: Karlie Kloss’ epic 21st bash), but if we’ve come to know anything about Cara Delevingne, it’s that she loves a good party. And when you’ve got fashion’s finest on speed-dial and about 18,867 reasons to celebrate the past year, throwing a bash of epic proportions is just another Monday.
Fashion’s it crowd isn’t one you’d expect to run into at Swim Club, but going to Swim Club isn’t normally code for drinking bloody Marys in a desert-chic Palm Springs oasis while resident DJs interrupt your poolside reading. The man behind Ace Hotel is now challenging himself to make something else appeal to the notoriously fickle fashion pack – a bland business hotel in Shoreditch, London. If you need to take a vacay before that opens up in September, here are some spots to try.
Last night’s CFDA Fashion Awards, were filled with plenty of memorable moments beyond the red carpet. Hillary Clinton joked about collaborating with Bravo on a show entitled Project Pantsuit, Andy Cohen presented a clip of his Sex and the City cameo as a shoe salesman during his opening monologue, and Vera Wang delivered a tearful acceptance for her Lifetime Achievement Award.
Zac Posen is no stranger to being called fashion’s golden boy, so it’s only fitting that he would be the one tapped to design a dress made of the precious stuff for Magnum Ice Cream‘s new Gold?! bar. The gown made its debut last night at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Magnum’s short film, As Good As Gold, starring Caroline Correa and True Blood‘s Joe Manganiello, but before the big launch, we sat down with the designer to learn more about the $1.5 million (!) gown, get the lowdown on what it was like to work alongside TV’s hottest werewolf, and find out what Posen considers to be his biggest indulgence (hint: his answer is pretty great).
We spend our Fridays chillin’ with beers and friends, but for Michelle Harper, Olivia Chantecaille, Prabal Gurung, and more, the end of the week naturally means a black-and-white masked ball.
For the first year since its inception in 2009, Fashion’s Night Out will not be held in the United States.
If you were single on Valentine’s Day, there were several ways you could’ve sought solace, like getting smashed with other single friends or making love to Ben & Jerry on your couch. Or, have a glass of champagne with someone renouncing the holiday as irrelevant to your love life. Which is what I and several hundred other New Yorkers did last night at the penthouse of The Standard East Village in Manhattan, with that “someone” being fashion’s favorite astrologist Susan Miller.
Miss Montana’s name is Alexis Wineman, and she’ll be competing for the big title this Saturday night!
Is Ann Romney learning the hard way not to mess with Anna Wintour?
Boston tends to get a bad rap, fashion-wise. But last night there was not a North Face in sight at the opening of Mario Testino‘s first-ever stateside museum show, which drew Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles, Karlie Kloss and many more all the way from NYC to Beantown (how glamorous must that Fung Wah bus trip have been?)
W is celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion the magazine has recruited four of fashion’s favorite Hollywood faces to cover the November issue, one for each decade they’ve been churning out the glossy.
It’s only fitting that the opening of a ballet whose costumes were designed by none other than the legendary Valentino Garavani would have a red carpet just as glamorous as the ensembles on stage.
