Ellen Page isn’t exactly a clothes horse, which is A-OK since Hollywood isn’t exactly in short supply of them, but it’s nice to see her looking cute and (gasp!) cracking a smile on the red carpet. Plus, at last night’s Hollywood premiere of The East, co-star Brit Marling definitely gave us our fix of high fashion and hair envy.
Not only have Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had to pony up over a hundred million dollars in fines related to charges of tax evasion (and are still involved in litigation for hundreds more), now prosecutor Gaetano Ruta has called for two-and-a-half years of jail time for the embattled designers.
We’ve been in the midst of some serious drag withdrawal since the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race aired and our Mondays got about 20 degrees less fabulous (although we were totally #TeamJinkx from day one). Luckily, RuPaul is the latest guest on Nicole Richie’s super fun new web series, #CandidlyNicole, and the pair are just as hilarious as you’d expect. Seriously: how could you not want Ru as your spirit guide?
What could make the ornate, Beaux-Arts interior of Paris’ iconic Opéra Garnier even more exquisite? Ultra-luxe pieces from Dior’s pre-fall and fall 2013 collections, of course.
Squeamish about plastic surgery? Then you might not want to read this. In South Korea, the beauty industry boomtown with the highest per capita rate of procedures in the world, one surgery in particular is making the jump from an extreme method of correcting facial deformities to a cosmetic fad advertised on subway posters and touted by celebs. And it is definitely not pretty.
As anyone with even a slight interest in the fashion industry will tell you, the importance of Miuccia Prada can’t be overstated. Which is why the designer makes for an excellent choice for the newest cover of T: The New York Times Magazine with a headline proclaiming just that. But even though she is something of an oracle when it comes to what we will be wearing months before anyone else, Prada tells the magazine that the very things she’s known for don’t really interest her at all.
The Cannes Film Festival drew to an end this weekend, and oh, what a glamorous ride it’s been. From perfectly pared-down looks to full-on, look-at-me show-stoppers, the red carpet offerings have run the gamut, and this weekend’s Closing Ceremony and Zulu premiere was no different. Nicole Kidman cemented her Most Sophisticated title in an elegant Giorgio Armani column, while Laetitia Casta appeared to have sprouted wings, and one attendee got a little too carried away with her slit-up-to-there gown.
Cue collective groan: Nick Gruber and Calvin Klein are reportedly an item once again.
We hope you’ve had the chance to break out your bikinis this Memorial Day Weekend, but even if the weather hasn’t quite cooperated, you can still enjoy these ’80s swimsuit features in all of their high-cut, neon, Spandex’d glory.
If silk and lace is just a notch too pedestrian for you, we finally have the solution to your underwear woes: 24 karat gold lingerie.
Just about everyone, from Marion Cotillard to Karlie Kloss to Bianca Balti, opted to bare their backs for today’s premiere of The Immigrant at the Cannes Film Festival. And yet, despite the inevitable lack of bras on the red carpet, there wasn’t a single wardrobe malfunction. High fives all around, stylists!
Rihanna may not like how she looks in the allegedly unauthorized photo Topshop screened on their “Rihanna” tank top — in fact, she’s currently embroiled in a major lawsuit over it — but the UK fans that snapped it up before the retailer pulled it from their website certainly do. Here’s why that might not be such a good thing for the pop star.
Diana is on its way to the big screen, now that the eponymous biopic starring Naomi Watts has just been picked up for US distribution. With the news comes our very first official photo of the actress in the role of the People’s Princess. What do you think? Does the look do Di justice?
Guess sometimes it’s just a cobalt kinda day. That was certainly the case yesterday at this Hollywood screening of Isla Fisher’s new film Now You See Me, where the red carpet was turned many shades of blue (albeit not quite 50) by the guests’ ensembles.
When we heard that one of our all-time favorite magazines was launching in one of our all-time favorite countries, suffice it to say we were expecting something big. Sure, we may not be quite fluent in the language, and trudging through the longform pieces may have promised something of a challenge, but with Carine Roitfeld’s one-time rumored successor Virginie Mouzat in charge of fashion coverage, we figured we’d be in for some top notch content. Unfortunately, the debut cover isn’t much to write home about.
Ever wonder how absurdly wealthy folks blow off steam in the French Riviera? Well, it turns out it’s by throwing around hundreds of thousands of dollars to get unlikely couples to make out with one another. For a good cause, of course.
We don’t need to tell you that Gisele Bündchen looks stunning even without an ounce of makeup. But at last night’s private viewing of her series of photographs with BLK DNM founder Johan Lindeberg, she told us why that’s not the only part of going au naturel that she finds refreshing. We also asked her opinion on the epic internet debate of the week over the pronunciation of the word GIF: soft “g” like Gisele, or hard “g” like her sister Gabi (who was also there to fête the project)? Plus, see a GIF from last night’s party and find out the addictive hobby she’s just discovered.

Oh….my. If Amanda Bynes didn’t like tabloids before, she definitely doesn’t like them now. The cover of this week’s In Touch loudly proclaims “Destroyed by Fame!” and, the real kicker, “First ever photos: Inside her wild home.” Apparently, Bynes invited a pair of photographers over for some late night partying recently, opening up her “drug den” of an apartment for the world to see. Now, she’s on one hell of a rampage (all over her never dull Twitter feed, natch), claiming the photos were faked and lashing out at the “ugly faced black man” who sold them.
