THE ZOE REPORT: Mad About Marc
As I am sure many of you know, today is a big day for my team and I…the third season of The Rachel Zoe Project begins tonight! While I cannot give away too many details—other than what you see here—I will reveal one insider’s fact: I wear a lot of Marc Jacobs! I mean…obvi. Tune in later to see if you can identify the looks—keep your eyes out for a tweed blazer with colorful lapels and cranberry leather jacket—and in the meantime, spend some time lusting over MJ’s dreamy F/W 2010 Collection. No words.

To kick off the month of August with a fashion bang, I have selected a stylish, statement-making piece from my dear friend (and CFDA-winning jeweler!) Alexis Bittar’s latest collection—a Tigers Eye Quartz Collar. Fitting right in with the rest of his over-the-top fall offerings, this necklace is crazy time!…aka ba-na-nas : )

The end of July/beginning of August is always a tricky period to shop for clothes—inventory on summer items is low and fall attire has yet to hit shelves. That being said, now is the perfect time to focus on sprucing up things around your home. I just invested in a few of Jenni Kayne’s L’Artisan Amber Balls…and they are a-mah-zing!

Um, a Balenciaga bubble bath? Yes please! And no I do not mean jump in the tub dressed in Balenciaga—or any of your designer clothes (ever) for that matter—but do get down to your birthday suit and de-stress with the French fashion house’s new luxe shower gel.

With fall collections slowly but surely making their way into boutiques—rejoice!—it is time to begin spotlighting my favorite seasonal picks…starting with excessories (duh). First up is today’s TZR-approved cuff from young jewelry designer, Gaia Repossi, as part of her collection for Alexander Wang’s F/W ’10 Runway. It is everything.

In fact, I wear my wide-leg denim options so often that they have certainly seen better days…but near-disaster solved! Clear out some room in your cosmetic cases girls because Burberry just launched a makeup line and it is as good—make that, flawless—as one would expect. Living up to the British fashion house’s standards, each product in the 96-piece debut collection is luxurious and classic. Take for example—Burberry’s Lip Glow!
THE ZOE REPORT: Falling For Fallon
Not to be confused with Dana Lorenz’s main accessory line, Fenton, today’s featured brand Fallon is a defiant and youthful spin-off with equally-bold jewels at a lower price point. Of course, there is also Fenton/Fallon which is a capsule guest designer collection created by Lorenz for J.Crew… are you taking notes? I hope so, because all three lines are mah-jor and should be incorporated into your jewelry boxes ASAP! If you are unsure of where to start, I recommend a pair of Fallon’s Comet Earrings.
THE ZOE REPORT: A Book Fit For McQueen
Along with the rest of the fashion world, my heart was broken over the loss of our extraordinary Alexander McQueen. As an artist who always pushed the boundaries and drew outside of the lines, his vision was and will continue to be a reminder for us to all think big. This grandiose perspective that won McQueen widespread reverence is captured flawlessly in a tome that is quite exceptional in itself—Visionaire’s 58 Spirit.
THE ZOE REPORT: You Know The ‘Drille
If you are someone who looks forward to the changing of seasons primarily for fashion purposes (like moi), you understand just how important a well-curated summer ensemble truly is. After all, it is not as if we get to break out our jumpsuits, kaftans and sun hats all year-round… but a girl can dream. Taking full advantage of the mah-jor heat wave that is upon us, I say we all give our favorite seasonal pieces—like today’s featured Miu Miu Espadrilles—the attention they deserve!

Summer has found me in a blissful paradise at a vacation home in Malibu and I could not be more thankful for the downtime. I am loving every minute that I get to spend quality moments with Rodger, soak up the sun and watch the seasoned surfers hit the tide under a cloudless sky…heaven. In fact, the only thing that could make the whole scenario more picturesque is if all of the surfers were in-hand with a Chanel Surfboard. Talk about dream scenario.
