Is This The Most Amazing Makeup Tutorial Of All Time?

We’re suckers for a good beauty video. Whether it be the adorable 5-year-old Madison, or some crazy talented nail artist, we’re generally pretty mesmerized by what people can do with makeup. Well, we have a new obsession. Meet Cassandra.

Cassandra posts tons of makeup tutorials under the YouTube name DiamondsandHeels14, and while the video in question is a year old (forgive us if you’ve seen it already!), it’s really worth watching. Cassandra suffers from severe cystic acne — the kind that no amount of medicine can seem to clear up. However, you would have absolutely no clue thanks to her flawless makeup job.

We think it’s incredibly brave for Cassandra to show viewers what her skin looks like sans cosmetics, and pretty damn empowering to see how she deals with her insecurity. Three words: you go, girl. Also, do our makeup some time?

nooo, she needs stop using these products for covering acne so much!!! She needs healing, her face is terribly ill. She is so beautiful, but she will damage her skin continuing with this…

Beautiful Cassandra–I happened upon this while surfing, I actually don’t view these types of style websites. Can I be so bold as to suggest you go see a naturopathic doctor? You possibly have a food allergy and they can detect it easily AND treat it with no drugs (which can be incredibly dangerous). It also can be a hormone imbalance that is exacerbated by the chemicals in the makeup you’re using and they can help you with that too. I do think there are good options for healing your skin. You’re smart, have a great video presence and have a great future in art!

What a beautiful girl. Her acne is awful for her, but look at what she’s accomplished because of it! Her skin condition has resulted in a career. I want her to do my makeup and teach me what to use and how to use it. I know I’m not the only one.

I think a food allergy might be on target and possibly a hormone imbalance.  I suffered with acne my entire life until I had my son.  After pregnancy, my skin issues were gone.  I feel for this girl but I’m amazed at her courage and the amazing skill she’s picked up as a result.  I’m checking out her other videos – I’ve learned some new things about makeup application!

I cant think all that makeup and product is good for her skin at all and I have no idea how her face will ever truly heal if she keeps putting so much stuff on it every day :( She is very beautiful, but she really needs to give her skin a break if she ever hopes for it to be acne free.

You are an awesome person…One thing though, do you have any tips for covering textured acne? Your skin still looks pretty smooth/flat, especially after you’re finished with your makeup. I’ve got the type of breakouts that aren’t smooth/flat at all, and, while I can conceal the redness, you still see bumps there. Regardless, this video is completely inspiring, and you are very brave. Wow! You are an awsome young lady. I am 42 years old and still dealing with acne so I am going to take your wonderful make-up tips and try them on me. Thank you for being so brave to come forward, because there really are a lot of people out there who are in your shoes. You are definitely an inspiration to others!

You look great!..I had acne till I was twenty- eight and after my third baby it went away!
I remember when I was a teen at school and how cruel the other kids were to me always telling me what a mess my face was, as if I hadn’t looked in the mirror that day. I did everything to clear my skin and nothing worked.
You are a beautiful woman and I know one day you will have skin that you deserve.

Thanks for taking the time to help others.
