It looks like Anne Hathaway has joined the ranks of impossibly beautiful actresses who have shorn their locks for their latest role. Hathaway is prepping to play opposite Across the Universe‘s dreamy Jim Sturgess in One Day, a rom-com based on a novel of the same name.

While we generally think Hathaway can do no wrong, we’re especially digging her newly cropped coif. She’s certainly not the only celeb whose been spotted sans flowing mane lately — Emma Watson made waves when she posted a picture of her new ‘do on Facebook earlier this month (and yes, we think it looks great). Carey Mulligan has also been singled out for doing the short thing. Coincidentally, her An Education director Lone Scherfig is directing Hathaway in One Day.
