Barneys’ Beauty Guru Schools Us On Spring Beauty Trends
While we fancy ourselves makeup addicts, we certainly don’t consider ourselves beauty gurus. Barneys‘ Jason Ascher, on the other hand, is such an official beauty guru that even his business card says so. We were recently privy to a special spring beauty trends presentation by Ascher, and we thought we’d pass along some of his favorite picks to you.
Not only did we get the dish on the season’s best products, we also got our makeup done (one of our favorite luxuries!) and received some helpful hints from the guru himself. His best (and most practical) piece of advice had to do with how to remedy slippery makeup during muggy summer months: “Wear less!” Genius. He also told us that foundations are incorporating bisque undertones instead of yellow ones, that face oil really works and that there is such thing as a universally flattering lipstick shade.
