Bethenny Frankel Is Selling A Skincare Line With A Grain Of Salt
There are tons of face creams and wrinkle ointments that will set you back several hundred dollars, but reality star and new venture addict Bethenny Frankel can’t be bothered with them. The Real Housewife will unveil a low-priced line of skincare products this holiday season, but none of them will cost more than $15 — or promise you drastic results in a matter of days.
“I don’t make false promises.…I don’t want people to think in three days they’ll have no cellulite. That’s not going to happen,” Frankel said in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily.
Her line, called Skinnygirl Face & Body Solutions and Skinnygirl Mommy, will be sold at select Wal Mart stores starting in November, and by the end of December it will be in 1500 of the retailer’s locations. There are 30 products in all, ranging from lip glosses to face masks, and Frankel has also created gift sets that feature fragrances that smell of her Skinnygirl Margarita and Sangria cocktails.
Frankel says having good skin doesn’t come from money (and after a reported $100 million sale of her Skinnygirl cocktails line, she’s swimming in the stuff), but from finding honest products and using them consistently.
“I finally have good skin because I am consistent. I don’t worry about brands. I do buy brands that are not expensive, ones that don’t spend all the money on the packaging but on the ingredients inside.”
We like Frankel, and her no-nonsense approach to beauty is refreshing. But we also know that good ingredients tend to cost good money, so we’ll wait until we can get our hands on the products (and, you know, test them consistently) to say whether or not we believe in them.
