Apparently Guys Really Are Getting Those Brozilians, Says NYT
In August of 2010, Salon taught us all about Brozilian, the Brazilian wax for men. Now the New York Times reports that guys are in fact getting waxed down below. It’s always nice to see the body hair debate focus on men for a change, but isn’t this a bit late? Regardless, let’s try to learn some new things!
A New York salon called Face to Face says men’s bikini waxing accounts for 70 percent of its (mostly male) business. It also offers “something called ‘pejazzling’, in which crystals in patterns like stars and dolphins are affixed on newly defuzzed skin”. So, there is indeed something less necessary than vajazzling!
Also, LOL to every detail of this:
Evan Scott, 32, a music producer who lives in Murray Hill, has been getting a more-basic bikini wax for about two years. “I like to represent myself in a certain way, from no clothes to fully buttoned up, and I think that this is an extension of my overall presentation,” he said. Noting the prevalence of bikini waxes among women, Mr. Scott also suggested that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. “If I have that expectation of someone else, I probably would want to return the favor,” he said.
There are plenty of references to “keeping things clean”, which actually makes us respect the Brozilian situation a bit more. Oh, and you can call them Boyzilians, if you’re so inclined.
And this? This is something you cannot ever unsee:
