PHOTOS: 6 Celebrities Who Should Never Make A Fragrance

When we heard the Sex Pistols were releasing their own perfume , our nostrils flared at the thought of smelling like patchouli layered over B.O. and booze. Suffice it to say: not everyone deserves their very own scent — though it may seem as though bottling up your very own eau is a free-for-all feat.
For the sake of its definition, which according to Merriam-Webster is “a sweet or delicate odor,” we feel it’s our duty to preserve the ultimate purpose of fragrance: to improve one’s scent.
And so, here are six celebrities who should never, ever release their own perfume. Who are we missing?

1. Russell Brand
Just because Katy Perry is set to debut her fragrance this fall, doesn't mean that the world is ready for eau de Brand. The hypothetical scent would probably smell like those sleazy, stinky rock star wannabes who hang in the corner of foggy dive bars -- which is clearly something that should never be bottled up.
2. Ke$ha
Kesha's "garbage chic" look is a direct result of her proclivity for dumpster diving. She's never afraid to admit her past time to the press -- in turn, we're not afraid to admit that a Ke$ha perfume would be a terrible idea.
3. Mel Gibson
Who knows what a Mel Gibson cologne would really smell like, but we like to imagine a musk of sweat collected after one of his trademark outbursts. If Britney Spears' fragrances purport to whisk you away to a fantasy world, Gibson's would just transform you into a jerk.
4. Amy Winehouse
In a perfect world, an Amy Winehouse fragrance would bestow you with some Grammy award-winning pipes. In the real world, however, it would probably make you smell like a mixture of rose oil, ashtrays and week-old laundry.
5. The Jersey Shore Cast
We can't imagine who we'd want to smell less like: Snooki or The Situation. But rest assured, a Jersey Shore-themed scent would waft hints of gasoline, tanning oil, and industrial strength hair gel which, though no doubt intoxicating to the right audience, makes for more of a niche market.
6. Spencer Pratt
It wouldn't surprise us if Spencer Pratt markets his fragrance as some magic potion that makes its holders rich and famous. A Mr. Pratt scent would smell like a bad knock-off of an Armani cologne, and be an effective social repellent.
