While Chanel isn’t a brand we would tend to associate with psychedelia, their newest video is an undeniable trip. The beauty short stars model Inguna Butane, her face plastered with a panoply of mirrored crystals by the brand’s star makeup artist Peter Philips, and was inspired by a coat from Chanel’s December Paris-Bombay collection, though we saw a hint of the beauty concept on the eyebrows of runway models back in March.
It’s not these face adornments that you’ll find at your Chanel counter next season, however. The video is promoting the newly formulated Rouge Allure lipstick line, which comes out this September in sixteen shades, all of which presumably look just as lovely on a less-than-crystalline face.
