This Bottle Of Chanel Perfume Costs $4,200

Does this mean Brad Pitt’s Chanel No. 5 ads are actually working? The house has just announced their newest offering: a bottle of the perfume in “its rarest, most collectible form,” that will set you back a cool $4,200. And feel free to spritz liberally with this one, since 30 fluid ounces is a whole lotta scent to go around.

Called the Grand Extrait, the edition eclipses the $2,100, 7.5-ounce version as the most expensive fragrance offered by Chanel. And while the formula is the same as the version you can pick up at duty-free, the bottle itself is crafted in a mold with the aid of a specialized glassmaker and then placed in a “hand-assembled, artisan-crafted case.”

Naturally, this is the kind of thing you want to save for someone very, very special — although if anyone’s asking, we’d personally prefer one of these babies.

For more outrageously expensive finds, check out this $91,500 T-shirt and the now-infamous $250,000 nail polish.
