How A Haircut Taught Cindy Crawford To Stand Up For Herself

Cindy Crawford may be a supermodel, but even she had a tough time when she first started in the industry. In the latest installment of Oprah’s Master Class, Crawford opens up about a horrific haircut that taught her to be her own advocate.

In the video below, Crawford recounts a job in Rome for Italian Vogue after she graduated from high school. Even though she’d refused to cut her hair for the gig, the hairstylist went ahead and cut it “short, like a boy,” and also dyed it orange. But instead of speaking up, she cried.
