We’ll admit that even though Cindy Crawford is 44 with two children, we’re still no match for her — I mean, did you see her March spread for UK Harper’s Bazaar? Case closed. But having the “multi-million-dollar body” is no easy title to maintain. In a culture obsessed with beating the clock, refusing to go under the knife can be tough. According to Crawford, who once went through that very phase, succumbing to cosmetic procedures is okay — as long as you don’t change your face.
In an interview with Ladies Home Journal, the model discussed her married life, her career, and her body. Crawford talked about how she got over her “highbrow” stance of aging naturally, and instead states her new way of thinking:
“I’ve tried Botox but it scares me. Plastic surgery is really scary, but as long as you don’t use these things to change your face, I think it’s okay.”
In 2009, the model said this told the Daily Mail, that drastic surgery makes a woman look “unreal.” Crawford admits to having used Botox in the past, but hasn’t for the past 11 years.
From a woman who has championed the same face, long locks, and lean body for 30 years, the message of sticking to what you got is good advice. But with a decade gap between changing opinions, will she hold on to her words ten years from now? Only time will tell.
