If we’ve learned anything from commercials, it’s that dads can be pretty clueless. They never know how to fold clothes, they bumble their way around changing a baby’s diaper, and are generally confused about that contraption called a “dishwasher”.

So we aren’t surprised that ponytails, the very simplest of hairstyles, could have the average father a little stumped. But don’t worry dad: Redditors to the rescue! One resourceful guy figured out that if you point a vacuum (you know, the thing mom cleans the carpet with) at your daughter’s hair, it’ll get the job done in seconds. Genius? We think so.
