Dove’s Latest ‘Real Beauty’ Campaign Video Will Give You Goosebumps


You’re more beautiful than you think. No, really — and Dove has hired an FBI-trained forensics artist to prove it to you. In their latest “Real Beauty” campaign video, veteran sketch artist Gil Zamora sits down to blindly illustrate seven women, first working from their own descriptions of themselves, and then from a stranger’s description. The results are pretty astonishing.

Each pair of portraits seems to show two totally different women, and when the subjects see the results, they acknowledge that the stranger saw them as younger, happier, and more beautiful than they saw themselves. It’s a powerful take on self-perception, and one that has us thinking about the way we judge ourselves when we look in the mirror.
