PHOTOS: Elephant Pedicures Are Awesome

We’ve heard of our fair share of strange beauty treatments, but this pachyderm pedicure might just take the cake.

As part of a three-day festival in Sauraha, Nepal, elephants get their nails painted and their makeup did, all before partaking in a sprightly game of elephant soccer.

The festival hopes to attract tourists to Nepal and raise awareness about conservation efforts. We’re digging the red but can’t help thinking that a blue or yellow would have gone nicely with that skin tone.
