Fergie’s New Fragrance Evokes The Exhilaration Of Being On Stage
Fergie’s first perfume for Avon is the company’s best-selling scent, and her second is poised to become just as popular. Last week we attended the unveiling of Outspoken Intense, where we got all the dirt on the fruity fragrance.
“It’s about that intense feeling you get right before going on stage, that feeling I get and want to share with everyone,” she said. “It’s about that exhilaration, that excitement, that intense moment…it’s about owning the moment. It’s about really feeling that power that you feel when you’re in front of a crowd.”
The $30 fragrance will be available beginning in July, and draws from some of Fergie’s olfactory memories. For example, kumquats — a fruit Fergie’s dad grew when she was a kid — are involved, as are starfruit:
“It’s really special to me because every time I go on tour, especially in Asia, we have this beauitful starfruit. They slice it for you in the room, and we had no idea what it was. And it’s so beautiful, and it tastes so good, and it just reminds me of getting into the hotel room and getting a special treat when you arrive.”
A scent with a story? We love that.
