Two scenarios to mull over:
1. You are on your way to Miami for Spring Break, but after a harsh winter in New York you’re ghostly pale. Your hectic work schedule didn’t permit you run to get airbrushed, so you’re on your way to the airport with your barely-there bikini in all your paleness.
2. Your packing your bags after a hectic Spring Break in Miami. Before locking up the hotel room, you catch a glimpse of your back in the mirror. What you see is the most unsightly tan line that’s ever existed. Guess that intricate one-piece wasn’t such a good idea after all. Too bad your hot new boyfriend is picking you up from the airport, leaving you no time to correct your new sun-tattoo.
It’s happened to the best of us — from bad tan lines to pale skin. What’s a busy girl to do? Well, if you’re flying in to or out of the UK’s Gatwick Airport, we’ve got a solution for you.
Gatwick Airport is now offering The Gatwick Glow, a free St. Tropez spray tan to get you in perfect vacationing condition.
Kim Francis, the marketing manager of Gatwick Airport explained the facility’s decision to go bronze:
“Gatwick Glow is designed to give our passengers a boost. We want them to head off on their holiday feeling great about themselves. And, with almost half of holidaymakers worrying about burning on the first day, we’ve partnered with St Tropez to offer the spray tan facility so passengers can fly off already sunkissed, which we hope will prevent them from overdoing it on the beach.”
So far the tanning is only being offered through the weekend, but if you ask us, the idea is pretty genius. How often are you stuck at the airport, flight delayed, with nothing to do? What better way to occupy your time than a healthy dose of self tanner? We’re sure Lindsay Lohan would agree.
