The Guinness Book Of World Records Gets Fashionable

Makeup artist Rick DiCecca knows how to put on lipstick. In fact, he knows how to put on lipstick so well that, earlier this week, he set out to break the World Record for the number of lipstick applications in one hour. Record to break: 180 applications per hour.

DiCecca was successful, applying a whopping 303 lips (606 if we’re counting the upper and lower) with lipstick in only one hour at a Macy’s in Chicago. He used Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick to evenly apply a different shade of lipstick to each woman. While the Guinness rule book does not specify what type of lipstick must be used, it does insist that a different shade be applied to each participant.

“As a makeup artist, I’m used to working under pressure and this success was definitely a new and different way to challenge my skills,” DiCecca said of his win. How humble. He may credit his high pressured career for his win, but we credit his talent. For anyone who’s tried to apply lipstick evenly in a timely manner, you know it’s no easy task!
