Jennifer Connelly To Reprise ’80s Role As Shiseido Spokeswoman

Jennifer Connelly has just signed on to be the face of Shiseido’s Future Solution LX premium skin care line, a delightful bit of news, considering the Labyrinth star was once the face of their “Perky Jean Card Club” products back in the ’80s.

Connelly told Women’s Wear Daily she was happy to be back. “I’ve had a long relationship with Shiseido — I worked with them in the Eighties on an ad campaign, and have been using their products ever since. It’s nice to reconnect with them after so many years.”

And while we have no doubt Shiseido would love for us to focus on the fact that Connelly will also represent the 140-year-old company as global spokeswoman, we couldn’t help but start digging around for her old ads. Sadly, the beauty brand has been busy — no shortage of YouTube versions informed us that the video had been removed due to a copyright infringement claim filed by (you guessed it!) Shiseido. But that’s okay, because we found one, though it’s in Japanese. (And we’ve included screenshots below, just in case it too gets taken down.) Enjoy!
