PHOTOS: Supermodel Jessica Stam Makes A Pretty Good CoverGirl

Work long enough in the fashion industry and you can start getting desensitized to how shockingly beautiful and glamorous some of the art it produces really is. And then, sometimes, an ad campaign walks along, kicks you in the shins and says, “Look at me! I’m something!” And model Jessica Stam‘s new CoverGirl campaign fits that exacting bill.

The campaign, created for makeup artist Pat McGrath’s Runway Shades, features photos of Stam looking her absolute airbrushed best — the perfect backdrop for McGrath’s new shades. Each one includes a few behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot that went along with it, which is makes the whole thing feel a little more true to life.

And, you know, we appreciate a little reality in the fantasy of fashion advertising. Maybe that’s what caught our attention in the first place.
