WATCH: Kate Moss Stars In Dior Addict Ad Sans Galliano

A commercial for Dior Addict starring Kate Moss has surfaced, and it’s everything you’d expect: beautiful, glamorous, a bit racy. The plot is simple enough, following Moss from an impossibly opulent apartment to a private car to Dior‘s spring/summer 2011 runway show. Duran Duran plays in the background, and Moss pauses the action a few times to swipe on some glossy pink lipstick.

While the 90-second clip may appear to be standard makeup promo fare, recent events have us thinking all kinds of thoughts! First of all, we wonder if John Galliano was edited out of the original commercial. It’s very possible he never appeared in the clip in the first place, but it also wouldn’t be so unusual for there to be a shot or two of him at the show included in the footage. Second, it’s important to note that unlike Natalie Portman, longtime Galliano pal Moss has stuck by her friend. The two are so close that she even threw him a surprise birthday party back in December. He is also slated to design her wedding dress.

Additionally, it’s interesting that party girl Moss did a stint in rehab, and is now the face of a product called “Addict.” It’s hard to decide if that makes it cheeky or irresponsible, but we guess that all depends on whether or not Moss is clean — a fact we simply cannot confirm or deny. Notably, Moss was among the friends who urged Galliano to check himself into rehab after his scandal broke.
