It’s impossible to test and review every single beauty product on the market, so that’s why we’re just highlighting the good stuff. You know, those lotions and potions with which we’re currently obsessed, and the beauty counter buys we believe everyone should know about. This week’s pick is a new-to-us foundation from Le Métier de Beauté that evens skin tone without weighing it down.
As much as I would love to go without makeup on a daily basis, my blotchy and uneven skin tone always requires a little bit of help in the mornings. That’s why I reach for Le Métier de Beauté Classic Flawless Finish Foundation SPF 8 in No. 3, which full disclosure, was sent to me by the company.
The consistency is a bit thick so a little goes a long way. I normally put half a pump of the product onto my fingertips, smear it around, and then apply it onto my face. It goes on smoothly, blends easily, and evens out my complexion without caking. Vitamins A and E keep my skin hydrated, while the additional SPF 8 protects it from the sun’s harmful rays. It could be higher, say SPF 15 like many other products, but given that it’s winter, SPF 8 will do just fine.
It’s a bit pricey at $68 a bottle, but I’d say that it’s definitely worth the splurge, especially if you have to wear foundation every day like I do. Not sure how to find the right shade? Just watch the video below:
