WATCH: What’s Up With The Hair In This L’Oreal Commercial? (UPDATED)

UPDATE: As per Coco Rocha, “I can tell you, that was definitely my real hair in the L’Oreal video dyed specifically for the shoot.” And now we know.

L’Oreal just released a new French commercial for its Préférence hair color. It’s filled with models…and also maybe a lot of fake hair?

Bianca Balti, Liya Kabede, Doutzen Kroes, Coco Rocha, and Claudia Schiffer star in the clip, and some of them have hair we’re deeming suspicious. Not only do Liya, Coco, and Claudia’s manes look impossibly thick and preternaturally bouncy, Coco’s color is hideously unnatural. If you’re selling a hair product, you should at least try to make the hair in question look realistic, regardless of whether wigs are used or not. And as far as Coco’s color is concerned, it’s more Manic Panic (CRIMSON GLOW!) than L’Oreal.

One thing’s for sure — this commercial certainly wouldn’t fly with those sticklers over at the British Advertising Standards Authority.

Forget the commercial – did you see the credits???? How many people did it take to produce it? Also, talk about corporate wa*k, why put the names of the president of L’Oreal and the marketing people? Talk about egos, no wonder I don’t buy L’Oreal. As we say in the UK, ‘they are so up themselves’.
