PHOTOS: Take A Tour Through Marc Jacobs’ Bijou Beauty Shop

We now exactly how we’ll be spending today’s lunch break: skipping down Bleecker Street to Marc Jacobs’ new beauty shop to snap up some Magic Marc’er eyeliner and Brow Tamer grooming gel (in quest of Cara Delevingne’s thick brows, things have gotten a bit out of hand). Yes, MJ’s first outpost dedicated solely to maquillage is officially open for business, and thanks to WWD, we know exactly what lies inside the 500-square-foot space.

What used to be the brand’s accessory store is now a bijou beauty emporium. “I wanted [the store] to look like a jewel box,” Robert Duffy, president of Marc Jacobs, told WWD. Upon entering the West Village outlet, nestled amongst a sea of other MJ shops, you’ll find an Art Deco-inspired interior boasting a custom black and white chandelier created by Kacper Dolatowski, a Guy Lefevre vintage table housing makeup bags literally made from Jacobs’ fall collection (run, don’t walk for these babies), tall mirrored walls, a floor-to-ceiling portrait on a smoky-eyed model, and of course,  Sephora’s custom-designed MJ gondolas.

Now for the question on every non-New Yorker’s lips, will more MJ beauty shops be popping up outside the city?

Duffy explained:

“It depends on how it does. When we launched Bookmarc, I thought it would be the only one, and then we opened one in L.A. and in Paris and in London. And we’re about to open one in Tokyo. At practically every store I’ve underestimated the amount of people who will come.”

And there’s even more good news, as Duffy also hinted at a foray into fine jewelry and furniture. So, click-through the store images below, and excuse us while we daydream of lounging on a Marc Jacobs loveseat dripping in his diamonds.
