PHOTOS: Matthew Williamson’s Eye-Catching Benefit Beauty Collab

Matthew Williamson is something of a maestro when it comes to bright, eye-popping colors, so we’ll be in good hands when his cosmetics debut hits the shelves at Sephora later this month.

The makeup kit, created in conjunction with Benefit Cosmetics, has the saucy name “The Rich Is Back”, and contains three easy-to-wear shimmer shadows and one rich teal, a fire engine red lipgloss, a mini mascara, and a blush. Williamson was inspired by the ’70s — his favorite decade and the one in which Benefit was founded — and the influence is evident in the color palette and kaleidoscopic packaging.

The London-based designer told WWD that he was drawn to the brand’s spirited ethos, saying, “They take a slightly irreverent, tongue-in-cheek approach. And the optimism expressed in the brand is something I like to do in my work.”

Pick up the palette for $34 on May 23, and for another upcoming designer cosmetic collab, check out Alber Elbaz’s adorable Lancôme line:
