Is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Super Naked In This Burberry Ad?

We’ve never been accused of being conservative over here at Styleite (NSFW examples here, here, here, etc.), but we really need to discuss Rosie Huntington-Whiteley‘s Burberry Body ad.

Burberry Body is a new lady fragrance, and Rosie’s is its face — or should we say body? The actress-slash-model-slash-professional-hot-person was photographed by Mario Testino for the campaign, in which she is fairly naked.

This level of nudity is pretty standard for fashion editorials, but it’s a little shocking for an advertisement. Rosie is shilling for a fragrance, so it isn’t weird that she’s barely wearing anything (in fact, it’s more like she’s laying on top of a Burberry trench instead wearing one), but she is almost uncomfortably naked. Look at her lower half! Incredibly naked! Or maybe we’re being lame?

Please do tell us what you think!

I think she is beautifully naked, and I like it. It’s an ad for the fragrance, not the coat.

If I looked like that I’d be REAL comfortable naked!

There have been Calvin Klein ads with an even-more-naked Kate Moss, I think. That said, I’m getting kind of bored with all the naked. Or maybe it’s not that she’s naked, it’s that I’m more interested in what the human form can *do*– I love dance photography, which celebrates the body in motion. I get this is artful in the shadows and light and curves, but…zzzzz.

The photo looks strange because it appears as if her aureola were photoshopped out.  It would have been better if she didn’t have the trench and was posed a different way.
