Beauty Beat: The Product To Solve Your Smog-Clogged Pores Is An Oil
It’s impossible to test and review every single beauty product on the market, so that’s why we’re just highlighting the good stuff. You know, those lotions and potions with which we’re currently obsessed, and the beauty counter buys we believe everyone should know about. This week, we’re raving about a cleansing oil that surprisingly does the job.
It might be weird to think that a cleansing oil can actually clean an oily face, but after one wash with Shu Uemura’s Fresh Pore Clarifying Gentle Cleansing Oil, we were hooked.
The city’s grime and dirt does a number on our faces every day, and we we’ve followed conventional beauty wisdom using harsh exfoliating formulas, that only left us dried out and sensitive. So we somewhat dubiously dared to try a cleansing oil, and we haven’t looked back. Afterwards, our faces felt extremely clean and fresh, and the product didn’t leave an oily residue like we’d expected. Most importantly, it cleaned out our gross pores. Finally.
Shu Uemura’s gentle, non-lathering formula includes cherry extract to gently slough off dead skin cells, and sakura leaf extract to help reduce redness and smooth the skin’s texture. It also does one helluva job getting rid of all traces of makeup — we seriously haven’t touched the makeup remover in weeks.
