by Julia Rubin | 5:22 pm, February 22nd, 2012
It’s spring, you guys! Okay, not quite. But it’s 55 degrees here in New York, and it’s almost March which is almost April, which means it’s time to stock up on spring’s best beauty items.

In the meantime, enjoy the html version below. I guess. If that's your thing.
1. Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation
We will only wear foundation that doesn't look or feel like traditional foundation, and this liquid-to-powder formula from Hourglass certainly passes the test. It's oil-free and provides a beautifully matte (think velvety, not cakey) finish. The best part is it doesn't need to be set with powder, so you'll never feel like you're wearing too much makeup though your skin looks fairly flawless. Hourglass, $55
2. Dolce & Gabbana Kohl Eye Pencil
We're big fans of eye pencils that you actually sharpen, and Dolce & Gabbana 's kohl liners rule. They come in your standard black, brown, and white, but we're especially partial to Peacock, a gorgeous metallic teal. We recommend layering it on top of black to avoid looking like too much of a showgirl. Saks, $29
3. Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
Warmer weather generally calls for lighter makeup, which is why Nars picked the perfect time to roll out its new tinted moisturizer. The coverage is slightly heavier than your average tinted moisturizer, and that's a good thing. Also, the SPF 30 formula comes in an awesomely wide range of shades. Nars, $42
4. Jouer Lip Sheer
Jouer 's Lip Sheers feel super smooth — not sticky! — and nourish your lips with the help of vitamin E and aloe. We're into St. Barths, a sheer coral that leaves your pout with a nice flush. Bonus: you can build the color up without being worried that it will flake off. Jouer, $22
5. Blinc Long Lash
You know what goes perfectly with spring? Really long eyelashes. But how does one come by really long eyelashes if one is not blessed enough to be born with them? The answer is not Maybelline! Instead, try Blinc , this eye makeup brand we're totally new to and totally obsessed with. Their Long Lash Dramatic Natural Lash Enhancer actually, really, legitimately works — and fast. Also, it's only $48 for a "three month supply" which makes it less than half the price of their competitors. And, as someone who has been using it somewhat lazily since mid-December, it will definitely last you longer than three months, but most importantly, it really, truly works! And now the length of our eyelashes actively blow our minds every single morning. One caveat: you might experience a bit of redness on the lash line during the first week or two, but we think it just made us look kind of tired in a totally manageable rock n' roll sort of way. Did we mention how long our eyelashes are right now? Blinc, $48
