We’re pretty passionate about skincare around these parts and not just because we’re total makeup junkies. Our healthcare routine may consist of eating like wild animals and nights on the couch watching 90210 re-runs (the original, obvs), but we’re solidly in the anti-cancer camp. Which is why we always, always, always wear sunscreen. But finding a good daily sunscreen isn’t exactly easy because, well, you don’t want to feel like you’re wearing sunscreen.
There’s nothing worse than having to layer a thick, cakey SPF with your tinted moisturizer or foundation and blush and concealer and maybe even a bit of powder. By the end of it, we always feel like an extra slick, skincare version of cheap seven layer cake. (And now we’re craving seven layer cake. Oy.) To get to the point, though, we’ve been recently obsessed with Strivectin-SH’s Age Protect SPF 30. While the chemical-y name and medicinal packaging doesn’t make it the sexiest of sunscreens, its lightweight, easy absorbing formula (is that the word to describe it?) makes it awesome. We’ve been wearing it every day for the last few weeks (under our tinted moisturizer, concealer, and blush) and our skin has felt delightfully normal (and even a little softer).
The two ounce bottle will run you $49, but by our (by no means accurate) calculations, that should last you at least three months. And whatever your budget, protecting your skin is worth it.
