Tips And Tricks: Cynthia Rowley’s Super Cheap Hydration Secret

We all know the ins and outs of wardrobe staples — a plain white tee, dark denim, and a timeless LBD come to mind — but the same goes for beauty. We wanted to find out the exact must-have products that our favorite fashion insiders never leave home without: the go-to goodies that instantly put a pep in our most stylish friends’ steps. This week, designer Cynthia Rowley is giving up her secret for quick eyeliner and buttery soft skin.

“I’m very low maintenance when it comes to beauty! I wear lipstick, black eyeliner, a Sharpie if I’m in a pinch. I’ll use a black Sharpie! And some mascara. I do love Stila mascara, I think it’s really rich and thick. In the summer, I get really dry skin from being in the ocean a lot, and I use this stuff called Bag Balm. It’s from the Midwest, and it’s really intense hydration. They use it on farms for cows. Does that sound weird? That sounds weird. They sell it in beauty stores, as well as hardware stores.”
