WATCH: Pageant Mom Forces Her Kids To Bleach Their Teeth

Oh, Toddlers and Tiaras. Thank you for being a veritable goldmine of information on how not to raise well-adjusted, self confident children. In a new episode, a woman who we can only describe as a step down from Botox Mom explains that she bleaches her children’s teeth every week, no matter how much they protest, even when they’re not about to compete.

In the clip below, you’ll see an Ohio mother named Lori talking out of both sides of her mouth while flooding her kid’s mouths with dental bleach. While she doesn’t want to put her kids Alaska and Braxton to wear false teeth for pageants “because you’re literally altering what God gave them,” she’s perfectly at home making their gums bleed so long as their teeth get whiter in the process.

The worst part of the whole ordeal? While Braxton takes the pain and discomfort of having the whitening agent in his mouth, Alaska can’t bear the taste. And even though she realizes she’s causing her daughter serious discomfort, she won’t let her rinse it out. “Your teeth are so yellow compared to his,” she teases. Which is just plain mean, mom!

Take a look at this sad display, below.

These children must be removed from these abusive parents, no ifs, ands or buts. The parents and the pageant judges should go to jail.

This is definitely child abuse.  Those kids’ teeth will rot through — read the labels on bleaches.
Pageants are ridiculous!!!!!   Our daughter was a baby model and years ago she made $45 an hour.
Just a few minutes’ work in a day, but paid for 8 hours plus residuals.  Took her out of it when I met
kids who would come up to me at auditions and want me to ADMIRE THEIR PORTFOLIO.  She made
enough money that was invested wisely and she probably still has some left.  Relatives called it
“Exploitation” until they heard the earnings and wanted their kids in it too.  Sadly, they did not
have the smile or personality.  Ha.  I used to call her “the best looking bald, toothless baby in New York.”
All she had to do was smile and laugh and she won them over.

I watched this epeisode and could not believe how the mother laughed about the teeth bleaching being one of the subjects frowned upon, in a book on child rearing, she kept in her bathroom for reading.  I was also disgusted how she made it so obvious that she thought her daughter Alaska, was inferior to her son in looks and talent, that Alaska wasn’t as pretty as Braxton, so she probably wouldn’t win anything in the pageant.

The father wasn’t much better. When the son Braxton was taken for a haicut the father was adamant only a bit of his long hair be trimmed around the cheek area, as it emphasized his son’s pretty face.  Pretty? A father saying ‘pretty’ whilst talking about his 5 yr old son? What happened to handsome, dad?

This is truly one family where favoring one child over the other is so blatantly obvious. I feel sorry for Alaska having to live in her brothers ‘prettiness’ shadow for life. Even she was amazed she was capable of winning a crown over her brother, because, in her own words, “Braxton is so pretty”.

As for the pageants themself,  they need to be stopped as they are now, or have the rules altered dramatically. Get rid of the must haves of spray tans, skimpy outfits, phoney teeth, phoney hair, hooker make up, etc etc.
Parents who think nothing of this, who think parading their young daughters in outfits hookers on the street wear, need to give thier heads a damn good shake. What you form now, what you teach your very young daughters that’s acceptable at such a tender age, could well come back to haunt you.

Why isn’t this sexualization of childrend considered child abuse. I emailed the DOJ that this should be investigated. Perhaps is more contacted them they might actually do something.
