Want To Smell Like A Yankee? Baseball Team Launches Fragrances

The Giants have Super Bowl rings, the Knicks have Jeremy Lin, and the Yankees have…perfume.

The baseball team isn’t New York’s most celebrated at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it can’t capitalize on its scent. Wouldn’t you like to smell like a Yankee? The team is launching men’s and women’s fragrances at New York Macy’s stores at the end of April (to coincide with the beginning of baseball season, we assume), but will eventually be available worldwide.

According to WWD:

The men’s scent, New York Yankees, described as a sporty, woody eau de toilette, features a blend of sparkling bergamot, coriander and cool blue sage on top; a heart of crisp ivy leaves, orange flower and geranium, and a drydown of rich earthy patchouli, smooth sandalwood and suede. The women’s scent, New York Yankees for Her, is described as an alluring, flirty, playful scent. The fruity gourmand eau de parfum opens with a blend of juicy guava, succulent plum and sun-kissed apricot nectar; with a heart of drenched strawberry blossom and rich tiare flower, and a drydown of creamy sandalwood, delicious vanilla and sensuous musk.

While the men’s bottle comes in the team’s signature navy, the women’s comes in pink. Sigh.
