12 Months of Really Depressing-Looking Vogue Covers
On Monday we were shocked when Vogue tried to pass of this person as the vivacious Kate Winslet on the cover of their November 2013 issue. But at least the removal of any traces of her mortality made us feel something.
We can hear the US Vogue naysayers whining that American version of the glossy has sucked for years, but in 2011 and 2012 they turned out some truly awesome covers. The Scarlett Johansson and Meryl Streep ones proved the Anna Wintour plus Annie Leibovitz or Mario Testino equation can still add up to greatness, and the saucy Jennifer Lopez cover (shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott) made us feel like pervy 12-year-old boys.
So, over the last 12 months, have the majority of Vogue‘s covers been so particularly dreary? See the best and the absolute worst of them (we’re looking at you, Anne Hathaway) below.
