WATCH: Supermodels Talk Plastic Surgery In About Face Trailer

As if we need another reason to be excited for the upcoming HBO documentary, About Face, The Daily got its hands on a sneak peek in which Paulina Porizkova, Carmen Dell’Orifice, Jerry Hall, China Machado, and Isabella Rossellini talk aging in an industry where so much emphasis is placed on looking young.
Porizkova offered the most insightful assessment about the industry (“Modeling doesn’t have anything to do with self-confidence. Working off of your looks makes you pretty much the opposite of self-confident.”), while Dell’Orifice’s take was perhaps the most pragmatic: “Well, if you had the ceiling falling down in your living room, would you not go an have a repair?”
But by far the most inspiring is Rossellini, who laughs as she tells the camera, “As you grow old, you don’t count any more.” She continues, “For sure my social status has diminished, because I know I’m not invited to the A [list] parties anymore — my daughter is!”
About Face will air on HBO this summer.
