PHOTOS: Taylor Swift, Nicole Kidman, & More Go A Little Bit Country

Did you think award show season was actually over? Pshhhh. This weekend saw the likes of the Kids’ Choice Awards and the Academy Of Country Music Awards. (Taylor Swift was the common denominator.)

The fashion at country music award shows is generally pretty predictable, but last night’s red carpet was a pleasant surprise! Swift’s gold-embellished J. Mendel could almost be considered funky, while Martina McBride and LeAnn Rimes were actually funky in Georges Chakra and Stella McCartney. Only Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood‘s dresses looked typical (long, neutral, sparkly), but that’s not to say they weren’t pretty. We’d venture to say the night’s only real disappointment was Nicole Kidman, who showed up in a rather staid L’Wren Scott number.
