“Give and you shall receive”  Extremely stupid commercial.  If your partner has been wonderful to you AND he/she gives you flowers, then yes they probably will “receive” but if they have been an ass to you and to your relationship and shows up with flowers on Valentine’s Day thinking they are going to get some then “NO” they will not be receiving anything.  Very stupid for the commercial and might I say old school to say if someone gets you a present then you “owe” them something which is usually sexual.  Giving flowers is supposed to be a nice, loving gesture….not payment for free prostitution services.   If my guy has been good to me, he doesn’t have to get me anything to get sex, I will be doing that with him that day for sure because I love him.  Presents should be viewed just as presents.  Really dislike this commercial and what it says to young women especially.

  • Tomsjsjs

Your so stupid jen. Its a bloody commerical!

  • Nypolarbearplunge

    no, you’re stupid.

  • the king

youre all so dumb, its obviously geared towards a girl friend on valentines day, who already gives sex to her bf.

  • the king

in the commercial it only raises the possibility that your gf will give you in return if she gets a romantic gift, it doesnt mean all women will do it. this gives the guy an incentive to go out and buy something.

  • Delaforte

Heres my take: Give her head and you’ll get some back. Message to men: It aint about flowers after all…..get busy!!

  • Goldendragnfly

Teleflorist:  preying on the pocketbooks and pea sized brains of the men who REALLY believe that they are gonna get some for giving their women those flowers…..HA.

  • Superbowlcommerciallover

I simply see it as Teleflora trying to get men to sit and watch their commercial. Smart move on their part and won’t hurt their business if they hit the teleflora website either. Smart for them.

Other than that, it’s a waste of millions.

  • Prettywhenily

I wouldn’t even give a single thought to this commercial…I’ve seen so much worse and way more revealing ads..but in today’s society, people get a bit carried away and become way too opinionated.
“Give and you shall receive”, big deal..at least she’s not planning on giving it away. Wining and dining, is that any different? Advertisements “sell”, period. it’s 2012 and apparently no one cares what it takes to sell a product, as long as it sells.
    Bottom line….who cares!!!!

Here is my take.  Men are stupid.  They really believe if they give a woman flowers, she is going to have to give out.  Why do you think men buy you dinner, drinks and flowers?  Do you really think they are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts.  Hell no, they would rather be out with the boys but figure they have to get you something or they won’t get layed…Be honest guys, is this not the truth?

  • http://twitter.com/rozeebird rose cupelli

no guarantee.  however, men do expect it.

  • http://twitter.com/rozeebird rose cupelli

The guy who gave her the Louboutins is going to get more back than the guy who gave her the flowers.

What the hell is so “sexist” about that commercial???…It DOES ring true…We ALL know that women tend to “play the game” and they DO use sex as a tool, be it giving as a “reward” or holding back as a “punishment”.
Grow up, all you over sensitive twits…It’s only a stupid commercial!!!….

To Rose Cupelli….Here’s MY take to your take…Women are manipulators…And they rarely do anything (to quote you) ”out of the kindness of their hearts”…They use their “favors” and the promise of their favors as a tool in getting whatever they want…Many females dispense sex as a pay-back for getting what they want, and hold-out until they get what they want, and will constantly use sex, or the lack of it, as a tool. And, Yes…SOME men are stupid…the ones who fall for that trick over and over. Some men don’t learn and most women realize that and will continue to play their games for as long as they can.

  • toolow

I watched the commercial. The problem is ?????

  • yun-soon suk

I fail to see anything wrong with the commercial.

  • Grapespinach

no, you are stupid! wtf is this second grade??

  • Gezz

Stop whining and get over yourself. “Oh, women have been so awful to me and they’re so MEAN”. Go to therapy to treat the nacissism and get a life you loser.

  • Gezz

Then what do you need the flowers for? Look who’s the dumb one.

  • Geez

Absolutely agree. You only need flowers of you’re lazy in bed.

  • Geez

It’s sexist, read the article. Or are you the sole authority on what’s sexist or isn’t?

  • Geez

I think it’s really stupid for a flower company to make women dislike them. They’re the ones that spend the most on flowers. So you get men to pay attention to the commercial and in doing so turn-off the majority of your client base? Idiots.

  • princessapea

Shouldn’t you be giving your bf/husband/sig other some anyway?  Regardless of flowers?  Wouldn’t you want it yourself or are you just that dead inside that you think it’s a chore to have great sex?

  • justsayin

I see that a great many of these negative comments are coming from women… I don’t foresee many men who would have complained about the commercial.  Being a woman myself, I think these women need to look deep into themselves and question where they are coming from.  This was a football game commercial geared towards healthy normal men who like to see pretty women and the flower company knew this… all of society knows this… ask a little 9 year old boy about a pretty girl… we should celebrate that we have beauty in all forms.  Of course, I wouldn’t mind having it in the form of Adriana… And I don’t dislike the flower company after seeing the commercial… if a girl feels it triggers her feelings of inadequacy, I guess I can see why she might tend to dislike the messenger and want to shoot him.  Think about it.  It’s pretty transparent.  And hey, what happened to the pretty cheerleaders we had at half-time… don’t tell me… let me guess… the flower company haters.
