Alessandra Didn’t Tell Anyone At Victoria’s Secret She Was Pregnant

Alessandra Ambrosio announced on Wednesday that she was four months pregnant, which means she was a little over two months along when she walked in the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. And though she managed to keep it a secret from both the audience and viewers worldwide, she apparently kept the news from everyone at Victoria’s Secret as well — despite concerns that she’d be able to fit the clothes at all.

Ambrosio told Us Weekly:

“When I first found out I was pregnant I thought, ‘Oh my gosh I don’t think I’m going to be able to walk on the show,’ and I didn’t tell anybody so no one knew at the show that I was pregnant. A week before, I told my booker I don’t think I’m going to be able to fit into the clothes because I gained a few pounds already, but we were just quiet. I cut all the sugars and sweets 10 days before and I got my trainer — the one I usually get — and we were doing lots of glutes and arms and back exercises.”

The emphasis is ours, mainly because we’re somewhat concerned that Ambrosio’s “weight gain” would need to be so curtailed. Granted, cutting out sugars and sweets and working out wouldn’t have caused her or the baby any harm, it just seems like much ado about nothing more than “a few pounds”.

So this young woman would rather be sure she makes more money and has more fame before she gives a darn about the unborn child she’s carrying.  Every day that’s more and more typical for America and most places around the world. Apparently pregnant out of wedlock to boot. Heaven forbit she have to pass on being in show where she is paid at least thousands rather than graba trainer and do exercises that could even kill her unborn child. One has to LOVE the priorities of especially the women in this country anymore. Makes me ashamed to be a woman in America when I read such about such a major loser of a woman like this with the morals of an alley cat and whose life is obviously spun around money and greed. She SHOULD be ashamed of herself, but I guarantee she couldn’t care less. I’m proud that my daughters have more respect for the unborn and for themselves. I’d be ashamed to be this woman’s mother.

you’re absolutely right; couldn’t have said this better myself, it’s really one of the worse lines I’ve heard in fashion this year. People will defend her but her sense of morals is just really sad.

Cutting out sugars and sweets and exercising is bad for fetuses? I didn’t know that! Why, the GREED of that woman! How dare she!

I think the girl looks good, and working out, cutting out sugars isn’t going to hurt the health of her baby.

Maybe she wanted to do the fashion show, it was that big a deal…She might decide not to work as a model once she becomes a mom…And, that would be very good for her baby.

Frankly, a woman doesn’t put on very much weight, in my experience those first four or five months…

I don’t think that, at 8 weeks pregnant, walking a runway is going to harm her unborn child. You know what my doctor told me? Don’t change anything that you do while pregnant except for things that are obviously harmful to the baby directly. She models. She’s pregnant. So what is she doing wrong?

Why are you guys so affected with this article? First of all, it’s her baby. If you’re concerned with her then try to reach out to her in a ‘respectful manner’ like commenting that she shouldn’t do that instead of being such a hypocrite in saying awful words towards her. It wont make you guys better if you try to look down to her. It’s her life, she has her own beliefs for her baby & herself!! She may look like a Superwoman or a Goddess but she’s human & she makes mistakes. You guys are so sensitive! I hope someone reads this before they try to comment something harsh. Go ahead! post anything you’d like… it’s your opinion but just give her a break! & respect her by avoiding all those harsh words. If you were in her shoes, you wont probably just scream out loud that you’re pregnant when you finally knew you were… Stop being so assuming. Gosh

  • alexandra

definitely! i bet she just panicked that time but just continued since she knows it wouldnt really affect her baby.. her modelling is just same as walking. it’s also an exercise for her. she’s not even taking drugs… gosh @8175de10fa8e83a82a798a7e2e8851a7:disqus why exaggerate her point? =)) she’s probably excited with the fashion show & her costume might be nearly ready or prolly it’s done already! you know how stylists in their crew are so quick about things, they’ve got her costume designed already & it’s a waste of money for that particular show if it wouldn’t be worn by Alessandra :P & if she’d tell anyone about being pregnant, for sure there are always bitches among the Models who might envy her & twist her story to make her look bad (well we’ll never know, girls are girls) There is nothing wrong with it! so stop being so sensitive @-)

Shame on you! First what about the mothers that are obese, smoke and drink? Who eat Mc Donalds everyday. I do assure you ladies as an OB/GYN there was absolutley nothing wrong with what she did. Kill her unborn child? I must snort at that “educated” remark. I advise my patients if they are used to an activity keep it up until your body tells you its time to step back.  Obviously you ladies know nothing of pregnancy but I do ask that you educate yourself before making such hurtful comments on someone elses behalf.

There’s so much hatred and anger in your words…makes me sad. I don’t think she’d ever place her child in danger, you’re over reacting, and in anycase, people have to sacrifice things to get somewhere and be somebody.

It takes into the second trimester where you have to start considering slowing down on things. I was in a gymnastics class my senior year when I found out I was pregnant, and my teacher still made me do everything everyone else was doing. And now I have a 3-year-old baby girl who is healthy and beautiful. This is her job, and she did what she had to do. plus at two months your not showing at all, infact shes probably just now getting a little belly

Two months along?  Give me a break. They way she kept it a secret is because at two months pregnant the fetus is the size of your thumbnail.
