Met Extends Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty By A Week
The Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met has gotten such a stellar reception that its run being extended a full week — and for a special price, the museum will even let you see it when no one else is there.
The Museum will open its doors during what it’s calling Met Mondays with McQueen. Every Monday starting June 6 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, $50 will get you inside the Museum. We made a $20 donation to go a few weekends ago, but we would have gladly paid the extra $30 not to be surrounded on all sides by people blocking our view of McQueen’s amazing creations. Women’s Wear Daily reports that the exhibit had the second highest opening day of any exhibit in Met history. Since earlier this month, over 150,000 have strolled through the show’s rooms and corridors.
But don’t fret if you haven’t seen it yet and you don’t have $50 laying around. You’ve now got until August 7 to see it. And if you need a reasons as to why you should see it, allow us to inform you.
