Amanda Lepore Channels 90s Supermodels For Tush
As glossies go, Tush Magazine is known for being ahead of the curve. And their latest issue is no exception — not only does the fold include snaps of model du jour Crystal Renn, but also a super-spread featuring transsexual icon, Amanda Lepore.
Shot by Marcus Ohlsson, Lepore looks like the long lost member of the Trinity taking a turn impersonating the likes of Naomi, Claudia, Linda, Nadja and Karen. Hot on the heels of Givenchy’s statement-making casting of Lea T., formerly Leo T, in the brand’s Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign and today’s announcement that American Eagle Outfitters will amend it’s policies towards transgendered employees, we thought this editorial extremely apt.
Not to mention the fact that it’s a completely amazing tribute to all things over the top and early 90s glam. Enjoy!
