PHOTO: Women’s Health Makes Amber Heard Look Downright Unhealthy
It’s one thing for fashion magazines to make models look like anorexics afflicted with Avian Bone Syndrome and call them beautiful, but it’s quite another for a women’s health and fitness magazine to take a healthy, fit woman and Photoshop her waist into near imperceptibility. We refer, of course, to the December 2011 cover of Women’s Health, which boasts a sickly looking Amber Heard as cover star.
Now, we’ve seen pictures of Heard and we’ve watched her in movies (Pineapple Express, anyone?), so we know for a fact that while she looks like she works out, she also looks like she made it into the world with most of her vital organs. On the magazine’s cover, however, that’s not the case — the coverline pointing to Heard says “Sculpt Sexy Curves,” but the only feasible way we can think of to make our own waistlines look like the ones in this image involves a meat cleaver and lots of spray tanner.
Is this what healthy women look like? Is this what Amber Heard looks like? The answer to both questions is no. Want to voice your concerns? You’ll find a myriad way of doing that here.
