All The Deets About Amber Tamblyn’s Wedding, Including Her Dress
Over the weekend, Amber Tamblyn married funny man David Cross in one of the most untraditional — and therefore awesome — ceremonies. Thanks to Questlove‘s pictures via Instagram, we felt like we were a part of Tamblyn and Cook’s big day. And what a day it was!
Let’s get to the most important aspect: 29-year-old Tamblyn wore a mustard gown, which matched her bouquet and the flowers in her hair. The dress was beautiful and untraditional, but we’re still on the lookout for the designer. As for Tamblyn’s shoes, well, girl didn’t wear any!
The two love birds held the ceremony somewhere in the woods by a river, on which Tamblyn arrived by canoe, naturally. Guests like Amy Poehler, America Ferrera, and the Reynolds (you know, Blake and Ryan) were treated to a gorgeous view with leaves in every possible autumnal hue.
Cross looked dapper in a tux, and Tambly remained barefoot throughout the ceremony — then the real party started. Questlove played tunes like “Nothin’ But A G Thing,” “Walking On Sunshine,” and “Are You Gonna Be My Girl,” and there was some (literally) inexplicable interpretative dancing. New Jersey alternative rock band Yo La Tengo also performed, and the wedding cake was — are you ready? — a two-tiered cheesecake with what looks like a pair of (hopefully edible) foxes to represent Tamblyn and Cook.
Between Anne Hathaway‘s pink Valentino gown and Lively’s rose gold embroidered Marchesa creation, it seems like traditional wedding gowns are no longer the norm. Check out some snaps below, and tell us — would you ever wear a non-white wedding gown?
