PHOTOS: American Apparel’s New Boob-Filled Jeans Ads (NSFW)

You know what’s not a secret? American Apparel is in serious financial trouble. You know what else is not a secret? Sex sells! Or at least it’s supposed to. Which is why for the past decade or so American Apparel has resorted to hiring nude models in its advertising. The latest ads, for the company’s new line of women’s jeans, are just as porny as the rest of them, but they leave us questioning whether or not the strategy is actually going to work.

But Dov Charney probably has full faith and confidence in the photos, which feature a blonde lady named Candice rolling around topless on a lovely kilim rug in the brand’s new jeans. The jeans themselves, of course, are the secondary focus of the ad, right after her breasts. But if other breasts (and sex dolls, and porny drawings, and butt cracks) haven’t worked for the company before, will Candice’s do the trick? You decide.

    I think it might bomb with the ladies, but lots of men won’t object.  They don’t have to sneak peeks anymore, they can get their jollies just looking at American Apparel ads!

    Where do these ads legally appear, except in hard and soft core porn mags. And if they’re girl jeans, um, not too many women are reading those mags — or are somewhat crazy boyfriends handing the ads to their ladies?

    How is this an issue?  Since when did people in the apparel world and those that follow it get so offended by a human breast?
    Just another affermation of american conservatism, “Flippant violence, why thats entertainment!”, ”the human body, how awful and dirty.  Shame on you!”.

    It’s free advertising. Make a controversial ad of topless girls that look barely of age and news sites like this will inadvertently (ahem) advertise the brand for free.

    For all the fuckers who are like, “Why are people complaining? It’s been natural since the caveman era” Idiots! Nudity was made VERY private in the west, for how perverse perspectives can be towards young girls. By curbing the blatant promotion of nudity, you help to curb levels of rape, sexual abuse, etc. Not to mention, girls around the age of 14, with a rack and a cute face wont be hunted by males tryna “stick it”…get real people!!….and fuck off Europe! lol
