PHOTOS: American Apparel Forgoes Models For Sex Dolls
Philosophical Question Of The Day: Is a picture still NSFW if the model isn’t a real person? American Apparel’s latest ad appears in Vice magazine, comes to us via Copyranter, and features a pair of bared breasts but not a single human being.
The last month or so, we’ve seen a veritable deluge of new offerings from American Apparel’s ad department which have run the gamut from the brand’s typical fare to hand-drawn illustrations to a photo of Dov Charney’s childhood dark room. Perhaps they’re just trying to see what sticks?
In any case, the newest image skips the models — money must be tighter than we thought — in honor of a trio of Real Dolls which, if you’re not familiar, can be seen in the 2007 film, “Lars and the Real Girl”.
The ad also takes a break from the aggressively preppy-with-a-side-of-sex mantra they’ve been banging, opting for, well, just straight sex, no side (and no conversation either.)
What do you think of the images?
