Sometimes a video like this comes along that just makes you feel a little bit better about the world.

Watch this edition of Smart Girls At The Party‘s Ask Amy, in which Amy Poehler tells a 14-year-old girl whose father won’t let her wear makeup that she’s beautiful without it, and that her dad just doesn’t want his little girl to grow up. The hilarious comedienne takes the girl’s question seriously and answers with some really great advice. We can’t tell you exactly why, but we felt better about ourselves after seeing this.
