WATCH: Anderson Cooper Only Washes His Jeans 4 Times A Year
We love, love, love it when Anderson Cooper does fashion segments. Remember that time he gave Alexa Chung her very own hula-hoop bag? Yeah, we’re still harboring a little jealousy.
Yesterday, the silver-haired anchor invited What Not To Wear host Stacy London to the set of his talk show, where the pair dug up embarrassing old photos, wore matching cat sweaters, and discussed Anderson’s somewhat suspect method of taking care of his jeans:
“I’ve washed my jeans, maybe twice in six months. And the times I’ve done it, I’ve worn them and walked into my shower with them and just put some soap on them and then air-dried them. Isn’t that how you’re supposed to do it?”
London thinks six months is probably a tad too long, even if they are the A.P.C. kind that Cooper says he’s been buying. She also cautions not to use soap so as to best “maintain the integrity of your denim.” And don’t we all want denim with a little integrity? Anderson sure does, quipping “I want my jeans to stand for something.”
