Andre Leon Talley: One Never Complains About A Vogue Cover
Andre Leon Talley joined the ladies of The View as a guest host Wednesday and offered some valuable fashion-related insight into the news of the day. Talley managed to compare Shia LaBeouf to Linda Evanglista and, we think, Indiana Jones to Vogue magazine. We’re pretty sure he also managed to sneak Steven Spielberg into the analogy as well — as Anna Wintour, of course.
Basically, the topic at hand was LaBeouf’s recent admission that he thought his installment of the Indiana Jones was, well, bad. Talley offered the following wise words:
If you were a model like Linda Evangelista, and if you had a Vogue cover, and you went public and said to Anna Wintour, “I hated my Vogue cover” — that’s just not done in the fashion world. You got a cover. You eat it. You say it’s fabulous. You don’t like your twitch or your twisted lip? It’s fine. You’re on the Vogue cover.
You hear that, past and future Vogue cover girls? Thou shalt not ever complain.
