WATCH: Descendants Writers Mock Angelina Jolie’s Thigh-Baring Pose

If not for the blinding flash of Angelina Jolie’s sinewy thigh, her heavy black Atelier Versace dress would have looked like nothing so much as an oversized velvet (who knows?) garbage bag. So believe us when we say: we get the pose. But we weren’t the only people laughing when she got up on stage to present the award for Best Adapted Screenplay and cocked her leg out like a pageant toddler in the final round of Miss Pixie Stix Louisiana.

Before The Descendants screenwriters Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon, and Jim Rash began their acceptance speech for the award, the trio (led by Rash on stage left) took a perfectly timed shot at Jolie by mimicking her thigh-baring pose. Now if only the former Groundlings troupe-members had hosted the entire show.

Jim Rash was inappropriate, cruel and RUDE! There was nothing funny about him at all. He is a jerk! And so is all the media trying to make him out to be okay. Where does he get off doing that to someone, anyone in front of the whole world while they are standing right there! Of course the media demonizes the woman and makes the man out to be funny. I’m sorry but Angelina put have only herself to blame. That pose comes off as trying way too hard. Plus I’m glad someone bring down Angie on her high horse. Anyway it’s really funny. Even George Clooney gets it.

However someone wants to pose, doesn’t mean they put themselves to up to blame. It’s just a pose, not a declaration of triumph even if her detractors are always perceiving her to be doing. Anyway, she’s awesome!

I thought that Angelina was mocking herself with that pose. She was so deliberate in stomping her foot out and shaking her hair at each instance. I assumed Jim was “playing bombshell” as well. Now your comments, Verena, seem a bit vitriolic. Why so mad?

uhhh..be careful who you are calling an idiot.When is Jolie known for having a giggle? She known among her peers as having no sense of humour nor does she have any track record of creating good natured giggles at events.More importantly, as a self acclaimed “artist and writer” she had to know what is expected from one artist to another–not appropriate to detract attention.But I do concede on one point, the whole world has, indeed, joined in the joke….the joke being Jolie herself.

Jeannieb62, you are sooooo right. She is known as being absolutely ruthless to the rest of the world. This is a person who has invented herself over and over, and controls every part of how she wants the world to see her. Remember the Goth phase? Wearing blood vials? How about french kissing her brother? Now she is cultivating the earth mother-caring persona. I just can’t wait to see the next incarnation of this phony.

she is too full of herself..the worst is that she really thought her chicken leg would look sexy and she couldn´t hold her head any higher…i mean,how can you not make fun of her in such a situation?jum was spot on–she looks like a caricature–she could have showed a sense of humour and take it easy–but i don´t think she has a sense of humour at all.
