Who Has Angelina Jolie Tapped To Design Her Wedding Dress?
Word on the street (or, more accurately, in a gossipy Grazia piece) is that Angelina Jolie has settled on a designer to create her wedding gown. But who’s the lucky artiste?
Could it be Chanel, as a nod to her fiancé’s ill-fated fragrance contract? Versace, like the now-infamous slit-up-to-there Oscars dress?
No, it’s L’Wren Scott, a designer best known for her figure-hugging frocks beloved by Hollywood’s leading ladies, the First Lady herself, and, of course, for her boyfriend Mick Jagger. A source told Grazia that, “[Angelina and L'Wren have had] several meetings. Angelina wanted someone who is not so obvious for designing wedding gowns.”
This definitely seems plausible. For one, Angie is hardly a traditionalist when it comes to wedding ceremonies, having been married once (to Jonny Lee Miller) in rubber pants and a white blouse with the groom’s name painted across the front in her own blood, and a second time (to Billy Bob Thorton) in a tank top and jeans. And even Angie’s planning on upping the glam factor a few (hundred) points this time around — Scott’s creations are right in line with her simple yet elegant red carpet sensibility.
We’ll call it now, though: unlike the dresses Jessica Biel and Anne Hathaway walked the aisle in, this is one celebrity wedding gown that definitely won’t be pink.
