While she may not have the same flair for young, hip designers as Obama (be that the fault of Anna Wintour
She worked her ivory Alfred Fiandaca first debate , held her own in the fuchsia faceoff , found her high fashion fit in Oscar de la Renta Diane von Furstenberg not so enthused about the endorsement).
So even if her outfits didn’t always quite hit the mark (like that ruffled leather number she wore on The Tonight Show ), we applaud her for keeping things interesting.
