PHOTOS: A Look Back At Ann Romney’s Campaign Trail Style

Now that you’ve taken some time to peruse Michelle Obama‘s campaign style, let’s move a little to the right and take a look at Ann Romney‘s sartorial showing throughout the race.

While she may not have the same flair for young, hip designers as Obama (be that the fault of Anna Wintour or not), Romney has, by and large, pleasantly surprised us with her choices on the trail.

She worked her ivory Alfred Fiandaca skirt suit with aplomb at the first debate, held her own in the fuchsia faceoff, found her high fashion fit in Oscar de la Renta, and chose a Diane von Furstenberg wrapdress for a rally (even if the designer herself was not so enthused about the endorsement).

So even if her outfits didn’t always quite hit the mark (like that ruffled leather number she wore on The Tonight Show), we applaud her for keeping things interesting.

Next up in the campaign style reviews: Paul Ryan! (Just kidding…we wouldn’t subject you to that).
